Prevention. Precision. Peace of Mind.
Prevention. Precision. Peace of Mind.
Healthcare has been part of my life for nearly two decades, but the way I practice today has been shaped by much more than my education.
My journey in healthcare began at 19, working at the front desk of a medical practice. I quickly realized that what I loved most wasn't simply medicine—it was people. I loved hearing their stories, building relationships, and being someone they felt comfortable talking to. I became a medical assistant, later returned to school to become a registered nurse, and ultimately earned my Master of Science in Nursing and became a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner.
Healthcare also became deeply personal for me along the way. While I was in nursing school, I unexpectedly lost my mother to a stroke. Experiencing healthcare from the other side—as a daughter and family member rather than the person providing the care—changed me. It gave me an understanding of how vulnerable it can feel to place your trust in someone during some of the hardest moments of your life, and how much it matters to feel heard, informed, and cared for as a person.
I went on to work as a registered nurse during the COVID-19 pandemic and later built my career as a nurse practitioner focusing on chronic conditions management, caring for patients across primary care, skilled nursing and long-term care, palliative care, telehealth, and women's health. I've cared for people with complex medical histories, multiple chronic conditions, and concerns that don't always fit neatly into one diagnosis.
Those experiences taught me something that continues to guide the way I practice today: a diagnosis, a lab result, or a number on a chart never tells someone's whole story.
Eventually, my career led me to women's health, and I found an area of medicine I truly loved. I saw how often women came to appointments feeling dismissed, confused, or unsure whether what they were experiencing was “normal.” Many had been told their labs looked fine even though they didn't feel like themselves.
I wanted to practice differently.
Today, I focus on hormone therapy, perimenopause and menopause care, sexual wellness, medical weight management, metabolic health, and healthy aging. My approach is evidence-based, but it is also deeply individualized. Your symptoms matter. Your medical history matters. Your preferences, concerns, lifestyle, and goals matter too.
Rooted Wellness Services grew from my belief that good medicine doesn't have to feel impersonal.
I want my patients to have time to tell me what's actually going on. I want you to understand your options and why I am—or am not—recommending a particular treatment. I want you to feel comfortable asking questions and to know that decisions about your health are being made with you, not simply for you.
You are more than a diagnosis, a lab value, a number on the scale, or a list of symptoms.
And I believe good healthcare starts with listening.
